EKU's
Richmond's campus offers a
minor in America Sign Language which teaches communication competency
in a visual language. Students become knowledgeable about
aspects of the hard-of-hearing and deaf community. For careers working
with the public, this minor is beneficial for understanding and communicating
with the deaf and hard-of-hearing. This minor does not prepare students
to interpret, nor fulfill the pre-admission and admission process for
the Interpreter Training Program. Required
